2021 Holden Australian Icon 1963 Holden EH Premier Medallion & Stamp Cover PNC.
By the time the Holden EH sedan was released in August 1963, Holden had already sold more than a million vehicles, since it started production in 1948.
The EH heralded big mechanical changes, in the form of the new 'red' engine, which boasted a bigger bore and shorter stroke, plus a higher compression ratio, to boost output to almost double that of 1948's FX.
Three trim levels were offered, the Standard, Special and even more luxurious Premier.
The Premier variant included a metallic Magic-Mirror finish, narrow-band whitewall types, wheel trim rings and front fender chrome wheel, carpet on the floor, a folding rear seat armrest and chrome sill plates.
The EH certainly made an impact with the public, with almost 257,000 units sold in just 18 months.
The stamp and coin cover features an illustrated envelope featuring the 1963 Holden EH Premier. It also includes an Australian $1.10c commemorative stamp and is post marked First Date of Issue 12 April 2021, Port Melbourne VIC 3207.
The medallion's obverse features the inscription Holden Australian Icon along with the Holden logo.
