Last $1 Note & First $1 Coin in Pack Uncirculated
The first $1 Australian Banknote was issued at decimalisation in February 1966, in 1984 the $1 note series ended with the Johnston / Stone signature combination.
The first $1 Australian Coin was issued as it was more durable and more cost effective, the $1 coin that replaced the note was initially a one-year-only issue, which would carry the Machin portrait of Elizabeth II.
In this landmark pack, the Johnston / Stone $1 note and the 1984 Mob of Roos $1 coin are both displayed in this set, in uncirculated quality.
Set within an archival bubble and presented in a full colour folder, this is an affordable and historic piece to add to your collection.
